About Us

SH’otel is an independent consultancy firm with an expertise in hotel management. Our unique plug-and-play modality of work and international network of professionals allow us to provide our clients customized solutions at multi-levels of the organizational chain, whether they are independent entrepreneurs looking to invest in new hotel projects or hospitality professionals seeking overseas career prospects with international chains. We work with a wide range of business parties, from independent investors and hotel owners to global operators, from job seekers to job providers, suppliers and authoritative bodies, in order to liaison the optimal results for each project we engage ourselves to. Our Origin

SH’otel Hospitality Management & Consultancy is a revitalized overhaul of the hotel management company HMC founded by Shahid Hamid FIH, one of the forerunners of modern-day tourism and hospitality in Bangladesh. Originally established in 1996 as HOST Management Consultants, the firm played an active role in the development of numerous hospitality products in Bangladesh such as BRAC Center Inn, Hotel Sarina, The Palace Luxury Resort, and Rangamati Resort among others. Over the course of each revitalization, we added additional services to our portfolio to be able to offer our clients a more versatile range of solutions. Today, we have a network of professionals working in the tourism, hospitality, and peripheral industries across the globe ensuring a smorgasbord of comprehensive solutions.

Shahid Hamid FIH

Chairman & Founder

With over 44 years of dedicated service to the Bangladesh hospitality and tourism industry, Shahid Hamid FIH has earned numerous national and international awards and recognitions, including the well-deserved appellation “Father in Hospitality” from the Bangladesh hospitality and travel-tourism fraternity. He is currently serving as an Alternate Member of the World Committee on Tourism Ethics (WCTE), a subsidiary of the UNWTO General Assembly, and his fourth term as Chairman of PATA Bangladesh Chapter. Incidentally, he is also the first and only Bangladeshi citizen to be elected as an Executive Board Member for the highest policy-making office of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Global during the organization’s 69 years of history. During his stellar career, he has garnered experiences from all walks of the hospitality sector, from developing business concepts and assets management to heading operations for global chain and local independent hotels and overseeing vocational training institutions.
